John McCain Picks Sarah Palin as Running Mate
Today John McCain announced his pick for his running mate as Sarah Palin. She is currently the governor of the great state of Alaska, and has over an 80% approval rating for the two years she has led that state. She has stood against special interest groups, corruption, and pork-barrel spending, which was a big problem in Alaska. You may remember the “Bridge to Nowhere” Congress approve to build there, which she stopped and once again took a stand to stop foolish spending of our tax dollars on a project that was worthless. This is exactly the kind of person we need in Washington.
If you are truly looking for a President and Vice President that will change our government for the better, then you need to support and vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin this November. They offer us experience, as well as a long record of standing against the status quo of the politics of the past, unlike the inexperience and long record of being a major part of that status quo offer by the Obama-Biden ticket. Joe Biden has had a long record of partisan politics, and has always been part of the problem, not part of the solution our country needs. Even in the thin record offered by Barack Obama, he has always taken the party line above doing what was right for the country. On the one thing he offered during the Saddleback Forum as something he did against party politics, he noted siding with John McCain on Ethics Reform. What he failed to mention was after working on the bill with John McCain, when it came time to vote on it, he switched sides and voted against it after other Democrats pressured him not to support it. He always has shown himself as a person the Democrats could count on to support the party line, and certainly not a maverick or an independent thinker like John McCain or Joe Lieberman.
Can we really believe the lies and half-truths spewed by the Obama team as something we can count on, or should we instead look to the long record of independent thinking shown by both John McCain and Sarah Palin? I believe we can’t afford to take such a major risk as to believe the words of someone that has rarely kept his word in the short past we can look back on. This is the most important election in the history of our country, and we can’t afford to roll the dice on a team that has shown little dedication to independent thought, and instead chooses party politics as usual, continuing to be part of the problem, not part of the solution.
If you want a President and Vice President you can count on to be there for the American people, vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin. We have a lot facing us in the future, and we need a strong leader that will stand firm and make solid decision based on what is right, not what is best for their political future, or get their names in the history books. We need bold thinkers, strong leadership, not inexperienced, party politics.
